Cooperation

Cooperation

National, Inter-Caribbean et International

The Dispositif Récif, a support center for companies and dancers, wishes to develop its support for creation through the deployment of a national, inter-Caribbean and international cooperation program.

Since 2021, Dispositif Récif has been a partner of TROIS C-L, Luxembourg’s choreographic center, with which it sets up an annual artistic residency exchange program.

These partnerships enable artists to be hosted in other territories, in order to carry out a creative phase culminating in a performance.

This program represents a fantastic opportunity to nurture their artistic approach, meet audiences from diverse backgrounds and discover new aesthetics. What’s more, these periods of work away from home enable the artists to network and make their work more visible.

We’d like to strengthen this type of collaboration and build new partnerships with structures on a Caribbean and international scale, in order to contribute to the circulation of artists from the French overseas territories.

  • Create links between the region’s artists, stages, institutions and territories.
  • Become a reference structure for contemporary dance in the Caribbean, and be identified as such internationally.
  • Promote the visibility of Caribbean artists and the circulation of choreographic works on an inter-Caribbean and international scale (North and South America, etc.).
  • Provide unprecedented opportunities for local choreographers.
  • Set up long-term cooperative ventures that renew and evolve year after year.
  • Strengthen distribution and ecological programming.

PARTNERSHIP WITH TROIS C-L, LUXEMBOURG

Dispositif Récif and TROIS C-L have initiated a collaboration starting in 2021. Choreographer Sarah Baltzinger had the opportunity to go on residency with her team to work on her new piece ROUGE EST UNE COULEUR FROIDE for 20 days in October 2021. During this residency she also gave professional classes and had the opportunity to show her work at a work in progress.

In 2022, TROIS C-L welcomes choreographer Léo Lerus for a period of residency and a presentation at September’s 3 du TROIS.

The exchange continues in 2023, with William Cardoso welcoming his new project Baby to Guadeloupe in the autumn. The TROIS C-L will welcome a company from Guadeloupe in 2024.
